Looking back, moving forward…

Dear Friends of PASSi,

On behalf of our Board of Directors and the Penn Asian Senior Services (PASSi) family, we warmly welcome you to join us at our 8th PASSi Gala on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

For PASSi, 2022 has been a particularly eventful year, full of the joy that comes with continued progress toward our vision and mission, but also tinged with sorrow. And though more than seven years have passed since our last Gala, held in 2015, we know that this is the right time to resume the tradition.

PASSi was built on a foundation of love for diverse communities, a love put into action by meeting community needs on a comprehensive basis, regardless of language or culture. From small beginnings, we have grown to become the largest provider of supportive senior services for diverse older adult communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania. For that incredible growth story, we owe a debt of gratitude to the pioneering spirit of one woman.

We lost that woman, our Founder and leading light, Ms. Im Ja P. Choi, in June. But even as the PASSi family looks back in sadness, we move forward, with strengthened resolve, into a future paved by Im Ja’s ingenuity and determination. PASSi celebrates Im Ja’s memory by continuing to strive toward innovative programming that empowers diverse older adults to remain independent, living in the communities of their choice.

And it is squarely within that legacy of innovation that we stand on the precipice of our next program: Primary Care. We look forward to expanding our continuum of care, adding health care to the full complement of supportive services that have become synonymous with the PASSi name and logo. And by applying our client-focused, community-serving mindset, we have strong reason to believe that the PASSi story of starting small, but growing over time to serve an ever larger, ever more diverse group will unfold.

Our Gala will also recognize distinguished leader and PASSi Primary Care benefactor, Mr. Don H. Liu, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal & Risk Officer at Target Corporation, who serves as an example of accountable, visionary leadership for all of the diverse communities that PASSi represents.

Your support of PASSi would be greatly appreciated, and we welcome your participation at one of our sponsorship levels. Please respond to Clayton Fitch at (215) 572-1234 x112 or [email protected].

PASSi has come a long way, but we are excited for the greater journey to come. And we can think of no better way to start that journey than meeting together, in our very own Evergreen Center, with all of the organizations and individuals that partner with us to make PASSi a special place. So please be our guest. Let’s celebrate!

Sincerely,

Ken Yang Signature
