To start our celebration, Mr. TaeSoo Shon gave a brief demonstration on stretching techniques. From there, the seniors were treated to lovely musical selections on the Ocarina. We also invited a Korean folk music/dance team from the Korean Traditional Music Institute to entertain the seniors in our adult day care program. Mr. SaeYoung Jung played the Janggo while Millyang Arirang, YoungSoon Lee, HaeRan Shim, & JongHyn Kim lead the group in a variety of traditional Korean songs and dances. Singing along with old Korean folk songs exhilarated many of our clients to join in dancing together, including our executive director, Im Ja Choi. After the entertainment, clients dined on traditional Chuseok treats such as songpyeons and japchae along with their lunch.
