Cass Jendzurski is a solo vocalist, harpist, recording artist, composer and author. She has been professionally performing since 1989 on stages such as Sight & Sound, American Music Theatre, Rainbow Dinner Theater, Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, and Mt Gretna Theater. Cass is also a Certified Healthcare Musician. She is currently contracted to provide healing music by a number of local hospices and retirement communities to provide soothing music for the elderly.

On March 31, Cass performed for participants and several members of the community at the Boo Nam Park Memorial Hall. Her soft soothing voice and her harp serenaded the audience, with some of them singing along to her familiar music.

March 16, 2017 marks the first day of PASSi's Vocational English as a Second Language class for this year led by Penn State Abington's Professor Rita Mejias. There were overwhelming interests in the class, having to turn away individuals wanting to register for the spring semester. The next VESL class is planned to be held sometime between August and September later this year. If interested in registering for the class, please contact Jenny Bedin at 215-572-1234 ext 10.

On February 20th, the Philadelphia Youth Camerata Youth Choir put on a great concert for the PAJC participants and community members.

Recently, PASSi has been awarded $316,560 by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industries for the continuation of the "Providing Career Pathways to Expand the Multilingual Healthcare Workforce" project. The grant will allow PASSi to continue its HHA and CNA vocational classes. Furthermore, the grant has brought back to life PASSi's former Vocational English as a Second Language class, which will be coordinated together with the faculty at Penn State University Abington campus. To commemorate the collaboration and to answer any questions the press may have, PSU Abington's new chancellor, Dr. Damian Fernandez (pictured on the right), and the university's director of continuing education, Ms. Joy Fraunfelter (pictured on the left), joined the press conference and toured PASSi's facilities. On the 23rd of December, participants and staff members of PAJC Adult Day Care spent the day celebrating the Christmas holiday with tradtional music, performances and dancing.

Dec 21st, 2016 - This month's mini concert was held a few days earlier than usual because of the Christmas and New Years holiday at the end of the year. Three members of the Seoul National University's Gugak Music Department performed for a PASSi's Adult Day Care participants and other Philadelphia community members. Gugak is a traditional Korean music genre which literally translates into "National Music".

November's PAJC Mini-Concert brought back two familiar faces, Won Kim and Sooji Ko Shim. Once again, Won Kim on his guitar and his wonderful voice and Sooji Shim on piano, gave a great performance to the PAJC community.

On the traditional Celtic holiday of Halloween, members of the PASSi and Adult Day Care community enjoyed a day of sharing talents and showcasing traditional costumes of their country.

On the morning of the 21st of October, PASSi and a staff member of PASSi was honored for the 2016 PCA's Mature Workers Task Force Award near Independence Hall, Philadelphia. PAJC's kitchen and food services aide, Raul Reyta, received the award for his on-going service and participation as an employee and PASSi for employer of older workers.

The Mature Workers Task Force is a coalition of non-profit organizations, coordinated by PCA that advocates on behalf of older workers.

On Thursday, October 6th, PAJC coordinated a trip for senior members to the Evergreen Farm in Hamilton Township, NJ. October is the prime month to pick Fuji apples and Singo pears at Evergreen and everyone enjoyed the sunny fall weather picking the delicious crispy fruit.

On Friday, September 30th, PAVI's 56th Home Health Aide class graduated 12 new aides.

On September 15th, 2016, the senior citizens of PASSi PAJC celebrated the Korean National Holiday of Chuseok with performances at the Boo Nam Park Memorial Hall.
